Health-conscious footy fans can now support the England team by munching on the official Three Lions Salad.

For anyone planning a World Cup BBQ or party, the mild mix of leaves that make up the Three Lions Salad, licensed by The FA, is sure to tick the right boxes for a balanced tournament diet.

The salad has been brought home for us this summer by the people behind Florette salad and is available in stores across the country priced at £1.50.

The salad blends a mild and versatile mix of Lollo rosso, frisee, radicchio and spinach leaves, designed to suit all tastes and perfect for adding a ‘patriotic crunch’ to any meal base - ideal for pre-match entertaining.

Gary Jacobson, Commercial Manager at licensing agency CPLG Sport, who secured the product deal with Soléco and The FA said: "This summer will see plenty of parties and BBQs as fans around the country gather together to support the England team in the World Cup.

"Food and drink plays a massive part of the football-watching experience, so to be associated with the top name in bagged salads is a fantastic addition to The FA's ever-expanding licensing portfolio."

Three Lions Salad Recipe
A delicious mix of sweet & crispy leaves with baby mozzarella, sundried tomatoes and an English mustard vinaigrette
Serves 4
Ingredients
200g bag Three Lions salad
2 x 150g mini mozzarella balls, drained
240g sundried tomatoes in oil, drained and cut into bite sized pieces

For the dressing:
1 tsp English Mustard
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
15ml olive oil
30ml extra virgin rapeseed oil
Seasoning

Mix the three lions salad in a large bowl with the mozzarella and sundried tomato pieces.

To make the dressing, mix the mustard and vinegar together. Whilst whisking, gradually add the blended oils and season when all of the oil is combined.

Add enough dressing to the bowl to coat the leaves, mixing the salad well to combine all of the ingredients.

Distribute the salad between four plates and serve with a glass of chilled English white wine or beer.

Enjoy!
