A second defendant has been found guilty of murdering two sisters who died in a fire at their Tooting home.
Shihabuddin Choudhury, 20, was found guilty of murder and attempted murder alongside his friend Akmol Miah, a jilted 15-year-old from Thornton Heath who was seeking revenge on his ex-girlfriend, the Old Bailey has heard.
Both killed Miah’s his ex-girlfriend Maleha Masud, 15, and her sister Nabiha, 21, last June.
The court heard they set fire to the house in Lessingham Avenue in revenge for Mahala ending her relationship with Miah.
A third man, Rasan Khan, 18, was acquitted of all counts.
Choudhury was found guilty with a jury majority of 11 to one and Khan acquitted with the same majority.
The fire also injured the Masud sisters' mother and two brothers, the Old Bailey was told.
