A charity football tournament will have a stilt-walking referee and a bouncy castle on the sidelines at Chessington and Hook Football Club next week.

Organisers of the Tcharmed event need 32 six-a-side teams, one for each of the teams in the World Cup, to pay £75 each to raise money for a rare disease that kills children.

The event is named after Tiana Honey Watson, who died aged two of mitochondrial disorder in Sussex in 2005, which damages the body’s cells.

There will also be a golf bucket competition, face painters, a tarot card reader, hog roast, barbecue, drinks and a raffle with football memorabilia prizes.

For more information about the event at Chalky Lane between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, June 5, or to sign up a team visit tcharmed.org.uk or call Stuart Ripley on 07793 850088.
