CPFC 2010 has not agreed a deal to buy Selhurst Park, despite comments to the contrary by joint administrator Brendan Guilfoyle.
At a question and answer session with supporters last Tuesday, Guilfoyle said the consortium had come to an agreement with the ground's administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), for the purchase of the stadium.
PwC has however denied this.
A spokeswoman said: "Negotiations are still ongoing and we are hopeful a deal will be reached."
The consortium's takeover of Palace is dependant on them buying Selhurst Park.
