A pair of tennis-inspired directors have served up a cinematic smash to represent Merton in a London-wide film competition.
Frances Bushe and Chris Sheridan, who also star in the 90-second animated feature Timeless Fun, were announced as the winners of Merton Council’s film London competition last week.
Their creation will now be entered into ITV’s best of borough film awards at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Ms Bushe said: "This was an amazing opportunity and the perfect chance for Chris and me to make our first film.
"Stop animation is a fantastic process but requires a lot of patience - in total we took over 2,000 photographs and spent days carefully planning locations and shots, but it was incredibly worth it."
The film sees the pair play tennis at some of the borough’s most well known locations - including Mitcham’s Cricket Green, Merton Abbey Mills in Colliers Wood and the Wimbledon Common windmill. To see the film visit merton.gov.uk/filmvid.
