A former Chessington World of Adventures employee has been shortlisted for his dream job as a travel writer.
If Lee Blake is successful, he will spend the next year travelling across the world, with a holiday abroad each month and a salary of £20,000.
He will be required to write honest reviews, with tips, for lowcostholidays.com in countries like Majorca, Turkey, Egypt, the Dominican Republic and Rome.
Mr Blake, from Chessington, said: “If you want someone who is fun, upbeat and ready to take on a challenge or four, then I’m your guy.
"I will be on hand, whether you want me to review the latest and greatest attractions, or want me go out on to the beaten track for a bit of local knowledge.
“If it’s food you’re after then look no further. I will try anything from pomegranate to piranha, just let me remove the teeth first.”
The other nine finalists include a burlesque model from Scotland, a stand-up comedian from London and a recruitment consultant from Essex.
