Detectives are appealing for information after Millwall and Crystal Palace fans clashed at East Croydon Station.

Officers from the British Transport Police are investigating the fight and have released CCTV pictures of men they would like to speak to.

The fight, on April 10 at 8.35pm, sent innocent passengers scrambling for cover and has so far resulted in seven arrests.

An eighth man, a 24-year-old from Caterham, was arrested on Saturday, May 15 after handing himself in.

Officers were called to the station following reports of a disturbance between 15 Crystal Palace supporters and two Millwall fans on platforms five and six.

Detective constable Shazia Moran, said: "We believe two rival supporters exchanged words on the platform before starting to fight.

"Following a short attack on the two Millwall supporters, the group re-boarded the train, which was bound for East Grinstead.”

"It’s extremely important that we build a clear picture of what took place.

"If you were at the station and witnessed the incident or recognise any of the men featured in the CCTV images then I urge you to get in touch."
