A audience member stole the show at a Jimmy Carr gig when he proposed to his girlfriend through the award winning funny man.
Mr Carr came up with on of his slick one-liners when writing about the event on social networking site Twitter.
He wrote: “Croydon tonight and an audience member called Adam Olver proposed to Selina - she's not even pregnant - a first for Croydon. Congratulations.”
According to Mr Carr’s PR team the proposal was a “spur of the moment thing”.
A spokesman from Fairfield Halls offered his congratulations to the happy couple.
He said: “We are just about to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we wish them all the best and hope they get to do the same.”
