The new Sutton life centre on Sutton common road is coming together well, and many people may have noticed it on the corner opposite ‘The Harvester’. Sutton life centre present opportunities for people of all ages, with a modern library, a range of facilities for youth and community groups, and even an outside climbing wall. The focus of the life centre is the “Life Skills Zone” offering a unique education opportunity for students from surrounding schools, covering a wide range of topics such as Citizenship and PSHE.

Suttons new life centre claims to be “one of a kind” and the only one in Britain so far. It aims to encourage those of all ages especially the youth of Sutton to learn make better choices in life. The building includes a modern library, outdoor climbing walls; a multiuse gaming area with changing facilities, an eco and sensory garden, and with a unique citizen zone as a centrepiece as well as community rooms, a coffee shop and a net cafe. An artificial street gives students visiting to experience and discuss the problems bothering them within Sutton and broad crime issues such as drugs, mugging, gang culture and even behaviour on public transport. The street is part movie set, part large scale projection along with other immersible environments within the street. The centre will be finished soon and all can enjoy the new contribution to their community.
