Pupils at Oval Primary School in Croydon celebrated St George’s Day last week with fancy dress, cream tea and a picnic for the whole school.
Class projects were also on display on the day, which PTA chair Janice Smith called “a celebration of all things English”.
The students wore red and white clothes to represent the colours of the St George’s Cross.
Teachers, parents and pupils were treated to a cream tea assembly, followed by a picnic of cucumber sandwiches and other treats.
