Two teens were robbed and one assaulted by a group of six teenagers in Thames Ditton on April 17.

The attack took place in Weston Green Road between 9pm and 9.45pm.

Police said the 18- and 19-year-olds, from Walton, were approached by the gang of men as they sat in a parked car.

The gang pulled the 19-year-old out of the vehicle and demanded he hand over any valuable items before one of them struck him on the head.

Another teen got out of the car to help his friend and was also threatened by the gang.

Both teenagers then handed over a number of items, including a Blackberry mobile phone, an ipod touch and £20 before the gang fled on foot to a nearby car and drove away.

A Surrey Police spokesman said the gang were described as Asian, aged between 18 and 30 and wore dark clothes.

Detective Constable Simon Egan, leading the investigation, said: "Fortunately the victim only sustained minor injuries.

"This was clearly a very upsetting experience for the two occupants and we need to track down those responsible as soon as possible."
