The parliamentary candidates from the big three parties in Brentford and Isleworth are to go head- to-head in a live debate ahead of the general election.

Labour’s Ann Keen, Conservative Mary MacLeod and Liberal Democrat Andrew Dakers will take centre stage at Christ Church, Turnham Green, on Friday from 7.30pm.

The question and answer session, similar in style to the televised leaders’ debates, is expected to be the first and only time the three rivals will face off before May 6.

Anyone wanting to ask a question on the night should send their name, occupation and question in an email to mattboyesw4@googlemail.com.

Meanwhile, parliamentary candidates fighting for the Feltham and Heston constituency will also debate their policies at a hustings event on Friday.

Labour’s Alan Keen, Tory hopeful Mark Bowen and the Liberal Democrats’ Munira Wilson will battle it out at the Riverside Vineyard Church, in Browell’s Lane, Feltham, from 8pm.

Sixth formers and first-time voters from Heathland School, in Hounslow, will also be assessing the candidates when they listen to presentations from Mr Dakers, Ms MacLeod, Mr Keen and Green Party council candidate Martin Bleach, before quizzing them about their policies.

The forum takes place on Wednesday.
