Businesses consuming more than 6,000 MWh of half-hourly metered electricity need to comply with the new regulations this month, which aim to reduce the level of carbon emissions produced by larger low-energy users by approximately 1.2 million tonnes of CO2 per year by 2020.
Go Green Plus, run by southlondon.biz, offers 12 hours free support and advice to small and medium sized businesses in six borough’s, including Lambeth and Wandsworth.
Regualtions are expected to affect about 5,000 public and private organisations, covering 25 per cent of the total business sector emissions.
