A woman is appealing for the owners of a missing lovebird to come forward.
Margherita Kemp was walking in Cannizaro Park in Wimbledon at 3pm on Sunday afternoon when she spotted the lovebird.
Fearing it could be attacked by magpies, she took it back to her Epsom home.
She said she has since contacted the RSPCA and has been provided with a cage for the bird until its owner comes forward.
She described the animal as “exceptionally tame”.
