For two weeks only, a team of New Malden solicitors is will offer people the chance to write their own will for free.

Nineteen legal firms are taking part in St Raphael Hospice’s “Make Your Will Fortnight” next month, when solicitors will waive their fee and draw up a basic will, in return for a voluntary donation to the hospice.

Keith Witham, fundraising director for St Raphael’s Hospice, said “As well as raising vital funds for the hospice, the Make your Will Fortnight also highlights just how many people have not actually made a will. It’s something that many people say they will ‘get round to’.

“By taking part in this scheme, there is no obligation at all to leave a legacy to the hospice. But some people may also take the opportunity to remember a charity when writing their will, and if they are minded to give a gift to St Raphael’s Hospice, that would be very much appreciated as well”.

The fortnight lasts from May 10 to 21, and those interested should book an appointment now. Call 020 8644 3857 or visit makeyourwill.org/straphaels.
