Last season Molesey held a 1-0 lead over Guildford for the majority of the game before being stunned by two goals in injury time to leave the Spectrum with nothing.

This season Molesey went to the Spectrum and shared two late goals with their opponents, meaning that Molesey were once again left feeling frustrated.

The first half was a dire affair with neither side able to keep any real possesion or find a way to hurt their opponents.

Moleseys only chance of note came from a speculative half volley from 40 yards by James McShane, whilst Guildford only forced two decent saves out of Wester Young just before the break.

The lack of quality and fight in our game was easy to see and even the usually calm manager Steve Webb was showing his frustrations at the lethargic display.

The second half did nothing to inspire the sparse crowd at the Spectrum and it wasn't until after the hour mark that anything of note happened for either side.

Shane Sinclair fired well wide when he probably should have scored after a lovely chipped ball through to him by James McShane.

Webb had clearly seen enough and hauled off the ineffective Farid Ibrahim-Zadeh and Ross Defoe. Zadeh will be especially dissappointed that after a couple of fine performances he was totally off the pace against Guildford.

Moleseys second chance of the half fell to Shane Sinclair again, and again he failed to hit the target or make the 'keeper work by lobbing the ball well over.

However, the deadlock was finally broken in the 83rd minute when a James McShane corner was swung in and Sinclair was in the right place to fire across the goal, and a touch from Lewis Ackerman at the near post made sure the ball went over the line.

Molesey were going to be frustrated by Guildford again though when barely a minute later Guildford found their way in and after hitting the bar Bobby Cain was in the right place to fire past Westor Young for the immediate equaliser.

Steve Webb immediately brought on Gareth Witter for Arnold Tawonezvi but the tall triker couldn't make any impact on the game and it fizzled out all square. Unfortunately neither side can be happy with their performance with the game being a drab and dire affair from atart to finish. No wonder so few of the Moles away support bothered turning up.
