A chemical spill caused Carshalton High Street to be cordoned off on Saturday, with one person being taken to hospital with burns.
London Fire Brigade were forced to close the road for over an hour and a half after drain cleaner was spilled on to the pavement.
One person was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service suffering from burns.
London Fire Brigade were called to the High Street at 4.39pm. They diluted the chemical with a large amount of water.
