Chipstead secured their Ryman League Division One South status for another season last night with a 2-1 win over Sittingbourne.
Full back Jason Thompson scored both goals against the play-off chasing Brickies, who were playing for the second night in a row after their Kent Senior Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.
Thompson first came from a free kick that went straight in on 32 minutes and his second was a drive from the edge of the box just after the hour mark.
Sittingbourne pulled a goal back but Chipstead held on for only their second win in 11 matches.
They are now seven points clear of second bottom Walton Casuals, who have just two games left.
