Crystal Palace FC will mark the 20th anniversary of reaching the FA Cup final by honouring the heroes of 1990 next month.

Players and management who took part in the cup run will attend the end-of-season player of the year awards evening on Saturday, May 15.

The event will be held in a magnificent marquee on the pitch and, this year, is sponsored by the Croydon Guardian.

Your favourite local, first for Palace news, is giving you the chance to decide who should make the shortlist for this season’s award.

We will submit a shortlist of five to the club from which the 2009-10 player of the year will be voted by those present on the night.

As those attending on May 15 arrive, they will be handed a voting form from which the overall winner will be chosen.

Mark Bright, Andy Gray, Dave Madden, John Salako, Phil Barber and Geoff Thomas have confirmed they will be there on the night.

A presentation will be made on the night to each of the players in honour of a landmark achievement in Palace’s history.

Supporters who attend will be able to meet the current players and management and share in the excitement of the ceremony as well as seeing who lifts the title won by keeper Julian Speroni in 2008 and 2009.

Tables of 10 for May 15 are £599 including VAT.

Individual places are £67.50 including VAT.

Prices include an excellent three-course meal and entertainment.

To book your place call 020 8768 6083. Bookings will be taken on a first-come-first served basis.
