With reference to Graffiti still an eyesore of January 4, from Mrs Margaret Evans I would say being a Virgo, I am equally as critical of inefficiency and incompetence as Mrs Evans, but I must give credit where it is due.
On December 8, 2000, graffiti was erased from a wall close to my home for the third time last year. Within one week there was more graffiti on that wall .
At the same time, there was an absolute cesspit behind the shops in the Forestdale Centre. There was an upturned industrial rubbish bin and what appeared to be dumped cars polluting the area. It was also cleared, together with an area of shrubland beside the betting shop. One month later it has had to be cleared again.
If we dont want the council to play dog chase tail and charge us for it I suggest we all clean up our act. Children copy the examples they are set.
As long as we dont have any adequate laws and we dont have an adequate police, we shall continue with the dog chase tail game, and moan about paying for it.
