Prime Minister Tony Blair had to turn down an invitation to a music gig for peace.
Organisers were hoping the PM, who used to play in a rock band, and Mo Mowlam, the Northern Ireland Secretary, would attend Ruskin House for a night of folk and rhythm and blues in aid of an Ulster charity.
Three bands will be taking the stage covering songs from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Bob Dylan.
Already more than £1,000 has been raised for the Quinn Family Appeal - spearheaded by Mayor Pat Ryan following the death of three young boys in an arson attack in Ballymoney
Mo Mowlam's office has not yet replied to the invitation. The PM, however, is currently touring China and won't be returning until Sunday.
Tickets cost £2 and are available on the door or by calling 0181 764 9329.
