Croydon businesses are supporting the British Heart Foundation's Hearts First Fun Run next month.

Businesses including Mondial Assistance, Catherine Johnstone Equipment, Mott MacDonald, Croydon Business and Mansell Construction have signed up to the run.

Registrations for the run, due to be held at Lloyd Park on Wednesday, June 28, are now being taken.

Participants can choose to run three, six or nine kilometres and the run's organisers hope to raise more than £20,000 for Croydonians with heart problems.

Emma Cross, of the British Heart Foundation, said: "We're hoping this event, which is only in its second year, will attract the people of Croydon and with any luck will cement its place on the Croydon calendar of must-do events.

"Everyone is invited to take part and now that registrations are open we hope more teams and individuals will get their running shoes on to support the charity."
