Pupils from 30 primary schools in Croydon were treated to a trip around the solar system last week as part of the Kids in Space Show.
The award-winning show performed by the Canterbury-based Spacefund theatre company included a reconstruction of Neil Armstrong's giant leap for mankind on the moon, a hunt for alien life on Mars, a bombardment by asteroids and planet models to illustrate how Earth compares to its neighbours.
Funding for the Croydon tour which took place in primary schools across the borough, including Roke Primary in Little Roke Road, Kenley and Courtwood Primary in Courtwood Lane, Addington came from the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council.
