Caterham
Sanderstead
Match abandoned)

Sanderstead and Caterham's progress in the league cup was halted by the weather on Saturday.

Variable bounce and accurate bowling provided Caterham with a good start, taking the wicket of Teasdale on the first ball.

Two more early wickets fell, also to catches, with Caterham stifling the run-rate through bowling from Varley and Samuels.

Andy Keen survived a couple of early chances before looking to push the score on. At the other end, Daws took time in getting off the mark, but the pair slowly increased the scoring by finding a few boundaries as the weather closed in and the ball got wetter.

Caterham's spinners Bullen and Marcus were working the most from the pitch and conditions before Sanderstead, mainly through Keen who survived a further chance, opened up to build a foundation for a good score.

Unfortunately the rain got stronger and the players were called off. No further play was possible in a game conducted in excellent spirit by both sides.
