Last Thursday I suffered a burst fibroid and ended up going to Mayday Hospital's accident and emergency department.
I was in a great deal of pain and losing a lot of blood. I arrived at 10.30pm.
By 2am I had still not been seen and ended up going home again, still in pain and still losing blood.
By that time there were only a couple of people left in the waiting room. I was assured that I had not been forgotten and a doctor would see me in due course.
If this is the state of the NHS then God help us all.
