Two artists are putting a mural depicting scenes from Croydon's historical past together.
After months of careful planning Jeanne-Marie Eayrs and Susan Beresford have started painting the scenes for the mural.
When completed the giant work of art will be erected on a wall outside Allders in Dingwall Avenue.
Amy Johnstone, Ronnie Corbett, and the Surrey Street Market are included in the paintings.
Jeanne-Marie said: "This is an exciting project which will help people identify with some of the wonderful things from Croydon's past and present."
