With the dark days of winter at an end, many a motorcycling enthusiast will be looking around for shows and events to attend this year. There are plenty of forthcoming shows coming up over the next six months.

One of these is the eighth Real Classic' South of England Classic Bike Show on Sunday, March 26, at the South of England Showground in Ardingly, West Sussex.

The event opens at 10am and promises to offer something for everyone. Admission charges will be the same as at Malvern.

If you are prepared to venture up to Peterborough on Saturday, May 21, or Sunday, May 22, you will see what promises to be a pretty spectacular show.

The British Motorcyclists Federation presents its BMF Show 2006 at the East of England Showground near Peterborough. You will find everything from vintage machines to the very latest superbikes displayed plus plenty of sideshows, fairground rides and live-action demonstrations. Bikes racing around the BMF Show's main arena speedway track have always been a highly popular feature of the show but this year the BMF brings the exciting sport of short track racing.

Based on USA flat track racing, considered to be an all-time great sport in the States, it's a kind of cross between Supermoto and Speedway racing.

On Sunday, June 4, there's the seventh Classic Bike Guide at Knebworth International Classic Motorcycle Show at Knebworth Park, near Stevenage in Hertfordshire while on the following Sunday, on June 11, the Oxfordshire Classic Car and Bike Show should prove to be a thoroughly absorbing day for all vehicle enthusiasts.

The show will be set in the glorious grounds of Churchill's family home, Blenheim Palace, in the picturesque small town of Woodstock, near Oxford.
