It was Question Time with a difference when 80 boys from Winterbourne Junior School, Thornton Heath, packed a committee room at the House of Commons to meet Croydon MP Malcolm Wicks.
The Labour MP invited the boys to visit the Palace of Westminster for a tour of the building. The 80 nine to 10-year-olds, together with teachers, parents and governors, then grilled the MP for 40 minutes.
After being put through his paces, Mr Wicks joked: "I was impressed by the boys' knowledge and the serious questions they asked me."
