Old Mids cricket team just fell short of salvaging a winning draw in their Eve Surrey Division Two clash with Streatham on Saturday.
With Old Mids attempting a second leg bye to help them salvage a winning draw, Streatham opener Chris Doyle chased back from slip and threw over the bails for keeper Howard Chambers to complete the dismissal and secure the win.
Doyle (60) had earlier helped set a formidable total thanks to a matchwinning century partnership with fellow opener Chris Wells (58).
And although Old Mids started well enough to reach 50 for 1, Streatham ripped through Midwives' middle order.
