Australian decathlete Tom Miller helped Croydon Harriers to a creditable third in the Southern League Division One match at Southampton on Saturday.
He won both the A javelin and B pole vault as a depleted team saw just 10 athletes compete in 34 of the 36 events to finish behind Solent and Bexley.
An even more depleted Women's team could only place fifth in their Division Six match at Ladywell.
