A friend of mine, David Malone, who lived in Ecclesfield on the outskirts of Sheffield and who was in his early 60s, died recently and I am looking for one of his friends who lives in Croydon.
His friend Pat, who is in his 80s, lives in Croydon and David, who was a keen cyclist, would visit Pat by train and take his bike.
David spent more than 20 years working as a signalman on the railways.
Pat was an officer in the RAF during the Second World War and I believe he was involved with the POW camps in Germany in some capacity.
David's funeral will be held in Sheffield, but as yet I have no details of the arrangements.
