Archaeologists have uncovered more evidence of an Anglo-Saxon settlement on Coulsdon's Farthing Downs.
Tours of the site were held over the weekend when people could hear more about the latest excavation and the history of the site.
A team of archaeologists from English Heritage, the Museum of London and students from University College London's institute of archaeology have spent the past week excavating the site.
They found Roman and Iron Age pottery from several trenches, a sign that there was a settlement nearby, and also discovered cart ruts and the remains of what is believed to be Iron Age plough soil.
