Nearly 100 people took part in the first Croydon jog in aid of the British Heart Foundation.
Teams of runners from Mondial UK and Croydon Logistics joined individuals on the 3k course around Lloyd Park to help raise money and awareness of the charity's work.
Among the joggers was Linda Gartell, whose brother Pat Maher died of a heart attack in his sleep at Easter. He was 62.
Linda, who works at Courtwood Primary School in Courtwood Lane, Forestdale, said: "My brother was full of life, laughing and joking up until the end. I am taking part today to try and help future generations that may suffer problems with their heart."
She thanked her colleagues and the staff at Mitsubishi UK where Pat used to work for their support.
Next year's event will be held on June 28 at Lloyd Park. To find out more call 0808 100 2109.
