In the week that London was awarded the 2012 Olympic Games, Trinity School provided no fewer than four athletes for the Surrey team that competed in the English Schools Athletics finals in Birmingham.
Jermaine Alexander was slightly disappointed with silver in the 100 metres in a time of 11.31, just one hundredth of a second behind the winner.
He also anchored the Surrey 4x100m relay to gold in a Championship record time of 43.51. Omar Dixon, who ran in the relay heats for Surrey took the long jump bronze with a fine leap of 6.04 metres.
Andrew Jordan placed fifth in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.04m, while Ryszard Buk cleared 3.80m to take sixth in the pole vault.
