Croydon's Muslim community condemned the bomb attacks labelling them "barbaric" and "evil" and say they will work towards a more peaceful society.
A statement released by Croydon Mosque, in London Road, Thornton Heath, said: "This barbaric act last Thursday has profoundly touched on all our lives with its sheer horror and sadness. There will be families today and individuals whose aspirations, dreams and hopes are destroyed through this evil act. Likewise, for their dear ones left behind.
"All of them, we are sure, desired only to make the world a better place. Indeed, no doubt playing their part in strengthening our communities. Our heartfelt sorrow goes out to the bereaved."
