Children's TV presenter Mark Speight has helped youngsters at a Thornton Heath school unveil a magnificent mosaic in their main hall.
The work, at St James the Great School in Windsor Road, is the culmination of a two-year art curriculum partnership between Bishop Thomas Grant secondary school in Streatham and the Thornton Heath primary and nursery schools.
Measuring eight feet by seven feet, the mosaic features a main centre panel of the school patron St James the Great surrounded by 26 smaller panels depicting a range of aspects of school life and school's ethos.
Mark, from the Children's BBC art programme Smart, unveiled the work at a special ceremony on Thursday evening.
