Some of Croydon's hottest unsigned musical talents are preparing for the climax of music competition Testing 1,2,3.
The competition will feature 18 short-listed acts who will battle it out in three categories singer/songwriter, urban artists and bands at Croydon Clocktower between Monday, February 7, and Wednesday, February 9.
Six acts will be selected to go on to the grand final on Thursday, February 10.
As an added twist all contestants will be asked to perform a surprise track to test their versatility and the audience will rate the performances on a special clapometer.
Prizes for the winners include the opportunity to perform at the Croydon Summer Festival and the chance to make a professional recording.
The competition will be judged by music industry professionals including BBC6 weekend breakfast show presenter Natasha and Placebo keyboard player, Bill Lloyd, who grew up in Croydon.
He said: "It's great to see a local venue championing Cryodon talent in such an exciting way. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to judge the best unsigned musicians in Croydon in what should be a great gig." Call box office on 020 8253 1030.
