Archbishop Tenison School raised more than £6,000 for charity in memory of a pupil who died after an asthma attack.
Pupils at the school in Selborne Road presented a cheque for £6,142 to Claire Tate of Asthma UK after they held a sponsored walk as a tribute to 14-year-old Julian Melbourne-Hurley who died in March.
Julian's mum, Charlene Hurley, raised £700 in sponsorship.
The cheque was presented to the charity on behalf of the school by learning support assistant Lynne McCarthy, who organised the walk. Headteacher Richard Ford said: "This is a tremendous sum of money to raise, a real tribute to a much loved pupil, who is much missed."
