The goals flowed freely for Croydon Schools' Football Association's borough sides on Saturday, writes David Lomas.

Croydon's U11s moved to top spot in the Surrey Schools' FA Sydney Black League with an impressive 6-2 away win against neighbours Sutton at Mill Lane, Carshalton.

Croydon went ahead after 10 minutes when George Gomez (Ridgeway) latched on to a through-ball from Alex Wynter (Davidson) and tucked the ball under the keeper. But Sutton were level within a minute.

Jonathan Whiteley (St Aidan's)

restored the lead and then Wynter made it 3-1. Sutton pulled one goal back shortly after, but Croydon stepped up another gear and scored twice through Matthew Wilkinson (Gresham), Kyle Rowe (Rockmount) and Wynter's third in the last minute.

Newcomer Ebra Sekajja (Ashburton) grabbed a hat-trick in Croydon U12s impressive 9-1 win over Brent in a friendly at Greenacres, Warlingham.

Brent took the lead after only two minutes, but within a minute Sekajja got Croydon back on level terms and Johnny Pitt put them ahead by half-time.

Matt Harmsworth and Kiemon Robinson made it 4-1 and then Sam Driver and Sekajja (2) added three goals in two minutes.

Substitute Peter Sherlock added two more before the end to make it 9-1 and preserve his side's unbeaten record.
