Not even Christmas will stop Croydon Council from ensuring that its services run like clockwork.
The council's social services department will provide round the clock care for the most vulnerable.
Emergency cover will also be available and people with an urgent problem can call the 24-hour helpline on 020 8686 4433.
The council's contact centre will be open until 4pm on Christmas Eve for routine enquiries and a reduced service will operate between Wednesday, December 29, and New Year's Eve.
Croydon's libraries will close at 4pm on Christmas Eve and re-open on Tuesday, January 4.
And the council's One Stop centres at Taberner House, Strand House and New Addington will close at 4.45pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 8.30am on January 4.
The borough's parks will be open throughout Christmas although vehicle access will be restricted.
