Croydon has maintained its ranking as a good council in the latest Comprehensive Performance Assessment (CPA) figures released by the Audit Commission.
Local authorities across the country were given scores between one and four on key services including housing, social services and education.
Each council was given an overall grading of poor, weak, fair, good or excellent.
Croydon was deemed to be a good' council, maintaining its ranking for another year.
Croydon received full marks for its housing service in the recent assessment and a three-star rating for education, adult and children's care and its performance at managing the resources used to deliver services.
But the council only received a two star rating in the environment and libraries and leisure categories.
Croydon's social services department was given a two out of three star rating earlier in the year. The council said it was pleased to have maintained its ranking and remained committed to improving the quality of core services.
