A woman was airlifted to hospital after being involved in an incident involving a bus in George Street just outside East Croydon station on Monday.
As the Guardian went to press, the Royal London Hospital said Chantelle Roberts was in a critical condition in intensive care.
The bus driver was suffering from shock but his
passengers remained unharmed. The accident happened at 10.30am when a 409 bus to East Grinstead travelling towards East Croydon station collided with the woman.
A receptionist at the NLA tower said: "There's always accidents happening here.
There's too much going on. A Croydon college student was knocked down by a bus travelling in the same direction in the same place at Christmas."
