The Phoenix Theatre Company will shortly be performing a musical compilation show at The Barn Theatre in Oxted.

The Company, which was formed by, and made up of people from the Croydon area, will be presenting a show brimming with favourites. The revue contains numbers from Broadway perennials such as Oliver, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Grease and West Side Story to name just a few.

On the programme will also be selections from other less well-known shows including Honk!, Snoopy The Musical and Is There Life After High School?, the show which Phoenix will be presenting in full next spring.

Curtain Up is themed around the stages of life from childhood, through romance and marriage and beyond, even including a mid-life crisis, subjects that occur again and again in popular musical theatre.

The Phoenix Theatre Company, who rehearse in Purley, are establishing themselves as regulars at the newly refurbished Barn Theatre.

The group believe the barn is a perfect venue for their style of production; intimate, welcomng and with excellent facilities, especially now that the extension is finished. The performances are from September 23-25, at 7.45pm.
