Beddington Zero Energy development on Mitcham Road, near West Croydon, was the recipient of London's first delivery of eco-fuel.
The recent delivery of woodchip from Croydon's Urban Tree station project - a BioRegional and Croydon Council joint venture - will power the estate's small-scale combined heat and power station. As a far more environmentally sound energy source than fossil fuel, the development hopes their use of it will set the pace for similar developments.
