Family and friends of Croydon teenager Hollie Waller (pictured left), killed in a car accident a year ago, have visited the spot where she died to mark the first anniversary of her death.
The 15-year-old's relatives and school friends laid flowers at the spot on St Peter's Road last Wednesday (February 13) before moving on to gather at Holly's grave in Banden Hill Cemetery, Wallington.
Hollie's family, who are campaigning for a change in the law when courts pass sentence for driving offences, had originally planned to take a petition to Downing Street to mark the occasion. But relatives found the anniversary too traumatic to present the Prime Minister with their 3,000-name petition, which requests that death and injury be considered when courts pass sentence for driving offences.
