Brook 169 for 3
Addiscombe 168

Addiscombe slipped further into relegation territory on Saturday after a convincing defeat at the hands of Brook.

After being put into bat first, Addiscombe lost Andy Poulton in the second over. But James Dandridge and Jonathan Homer gave the bowlers a torrid time as six an over was scored in the first nine overs. Martin Stevens and Dale Cooper pushed the score along to 122 with 19 overs remaining, until Ashworth struck with a treble wicket maiden over.

Stevens and Alex Fox then put on 30 before Fox was caught and bowled by Ashworth.

Ashworth took his sixth wicket with Addiscombe all out for 168 from 49.2 overs.

Addiscombe oversea's player Homer made an early breakthrough against the Brook openers, when Johns (3) went lbw in the fifth over.

Williams helped Weerappuli push the score ahead with three quick boundaries before Homer bowled him for 12. Hudson was next to the crease pushing the home side to their objective of 169 by the 40th over.
