Birmingham Bulldogs 32
South London Storm 28
South London Storm once again paid the price for a slow start on their travels after losing a close fought match against Birmingham.
The awayside were up against it from the start after inform prop Louis Neethling was sent from the field following a brawl in the fifth minute of the game.
But despite a great performance from 17-year-old debutante Ollie Parslow, he could not save South London from going in 26-12 at half time, with tries from Simon Holmes and Paul Rice keeping Storm in touch.
Storm finally started to get their game together in the second half, led by Tom Eisenhuth and Paul Rice and with eight minutes to go, took the lead for the first time when Eisenhuth scored straight after Simon Holmes crossed the line for his second try of the game.
With the score at 28-26, Birmingham scored the decisive try straight from the restart denying London a come back victory.
Souths play local rivals St. Albans at home this Saturday in a must win game to retain their place in a play off position. The kick-off is 2.30pm.
