M F Wharton complains about the tall grass at South Norwood Country Park.
I would like to know which area is being complained about and perhaps he could raise this with the on-site wardens or with the Friends of SNCP. Before doing so, however, I must point out that the country park is a designated local nature reserve and not an ordinary amenity park.
Yes, it does provide some facilities for visitors but it also has to provide for wildlife, such as the hundred-plus bird species that are recorded there every year. Sometimes the lack of grass cutting can actually be justified as a positive measure.
