Two athletes from Putney are appealing for sponsorship to run in the London Marathon on April 25.
Ben Milman and his flatmate Charles Waite are running in aid of the charity Children With Leukaemia, and hope to raise £5,000.
The hit upon the idea after a friend’s son was diagnosed with the condition last year.
Mr Milman said: “Any help that you, the good people of Putney can provide, will really be hugely appreciated, even if it's just a pound.
“We really are trying everywhere to raise sponsorship for this amazing charity, they do so much to help these poorly children.”
