Lambeth Living, the company in charge of Lambeth's council housing stock, said will it publish the fire risk assessments for its tower blocks by the end of March.

The assessments, which were completed by December 2009, were carried out on all tower blocks of 10 storeys or more in the wake of a horrific fire at the 12-storey Lakanal House in Camberwell last summer which killed six people.

Lambeth Living said none of its tower blocks received an overall classification of being high risk.

Easy to read reports and action plans are now being produced and will be made available on the company's website.

The documents will also be available at local area offices for those without internet access.

Terry Gallagher, Lambeth Living’s director of resources, said: “We would like to reassure residents a lot of work is going on behind the scenes regarding fire safety in conjunction with the Fire Service.

Fire risk assessments are designed to identify potential risks, but we want residents to know that any risk identified will be minimised through the action plan – which they will be able to see for themselves.”
